Date of the trip: May 2018
Looking for a stay full of fun pools, shows, good food all in the north of Italy? Search no more! I have the perfect option for you: Camping Bella Italia! Located in the north of Italy, in Garda City.
How to get there
Camping Bella Italia is just a half hour walk away from the train station of Peschiera del Garda, 15 minute wall from the boat service, and just 10 minutes away by bus LN026 from the train station as well. Keep in mind that there’s a bus service from Verona too.
They have different kinds of houses for your stay depending on what you like and how many you are. We stayed in what they call bungalow, which was pretty nice and comfortable, but they also have apartments and mobile homes.
Our bungalow had two rooms, one with a king size bed and one with two single beds, plus a sofa bed in the living room/kitchen. The bathroom was small but comfortable with a shower. And we had a small garden in front of it where we had a table and chairs to enjoy the afternoon and night playing some card games.
They have their own mini supermarket so you can do your groceries and they also have 3 different restaurants: Locanda Bella Italia, Ristorante Corte Riga and Le Terrazze, and we ate in all three of them. All highly recommended because, of course, they have great Italian food and an amazing service. And as you can see by our faces the food was simply delicious.
On the whole, they have 4 pools, the main one is big with slides and small water parks, and a built in beach. In this big pool they also do activities as bailoterapia for adults and kids and games for children during the day.
There are also courts to play sports and even an archery field!
At night, they have shows and activities for kids and families as well. There was a karaoke night in which anyone who wanted could sign up. My friends Cate and Fabio joined and we had a lot of fun.
Everyone in the camping speaks English.
All of the signs were written in German, English, Spanish and Italian, of course.
The wifi is a surcharge and they have specific points were it works.
You can rent towels in the reception in case you forgot yours for an extra fee of 4 euros.
While we stayed here, we also wanted to go around and make the most out of our trip so we went to different places that you can reach quickly and enjoy a day there. Among these places you can visit:
-Parco Natura Viva (a safari zoo)
Personally, I think the cost of the stay was really good related to the quality. We were 5 friends and we paid around 87 euros each for 8 days and 7 nights.
Some of the meals we had at restaurants and I spent in total 36 euros, including lunches and dinners.
We also did the groceries in the supermarket so we could cook some days and in total I spent around 45 euros.
I flew to Milan and from there I took a train to Peschiera del Garda which costs 10.5 euros.
The bus from the train station to the Camping was 2 euros.
The Camping had its own little train going from the Camping to the City Center which cost 1.5 euros each way, so 3 euros for the round trip.
-Take into consideration that there’s a deposit you’ll have to pay at the beginning of your stay that will be given back to you at the end upon presentation of the deposit paper, so bring with you some extra cash.
-If you want to get a better space at the pool and find chairs, make sure you take your spot early.
It’s the perfect trip to do with friends and here you can see why:
