Italy Business trip 3×3

3 cities, 3 nights, 3 hotels

This May 2019 I got to go on my very first business trip and it was in Italy. We were visiting clients and colleagues in different cities, so we got to stay in 3 different hotels.

Our itinerary was very tight, so we actually didn’t spend much time in the hotels, just enough to sleep and have breakfast. First night in Bologna, second night in Milan and third night in Cagliari.

BOLOGNA

In Bologna we stayed in the Royal Hotel Carlton, a 4 star hotel located in the city center. It’s 7 minute away walking from the main train station and 5 minute away walking from the main square.

If you’re looking for a beautiful hotel, with all the services and luxuries included, I highly recommend this one.

At the entrance of the hotel you can see a big garden, with a small pool and bungalows where you can enjoy the sun and relax.

Once you go inside, you can immediately see the luxury of the hotel:

Here on the ground floor you can find the Breakfast launch where they have really good variety for all kinds of desires. From a variety of fruits, passing through salty breakfasts and sweet ones. They had different juices, coffees, and all you can imagine. The staff is super nice and friendly, always making sure you have everything.

And if you eat too much, don’t worry, they also have a gym in the Hotel that opens at 5:00 am (Don’t even ask me how it is haha)

The rooms were also very nice and with all included. Really comfortable beds, though they only thing I personally didn’t like, is that the pillows were to big and hard. For the rest, I got to enjoy a good night sleep that helped me prepare for the next day!

MILAN

Second night, we get to Milan and our Hotel was Hotel Michelangelo (https://www.michelangelohotelmilan.com/), which is next to the train station. This is as well a 4 star hotel, perfectly located in case you don’t have a car or are not planning on renting one (traffic in Milan is definitely chaotic).

A hotel with all the luxuries where you can see all kinds of guests, from business guests to families and young travelers. The reception is a very comfortable space where you can find different areas, including two big conference rooms where, they day we stayed, they had a wine tasting event going in one of them. You also have free wifi in the common areas, so in case you need to work (like me) or just want to check in on social media, you can do it!!

In case you still cannot do your check-in or already did the check-out, you can also leave your luggage in the storage room and they will take care of it for you.

The breakfast area is a bit small, but still with a lot of capacity and a great variety of food. Sadly, I wasn’t feeling well that day, so I didn’t have any breakfast nor took any pictures, but check this one from their official website https://www.michelangelohotelmilan.com/galleria/

The rooms, on the other hand, were another level. They had EVERYTHING! The bathroom had a bathtub with hydromassage.

CAGLIARI

My last night of the business trip was in Cagliari, Sardinia. This 4 star hotel is Hotel Regina Margherita www.hotelreginamargherita.com/ and was, with no doubt, my favorite of the three.

The Hotel is well centered, with a view to the sea. We got there by taxi, and then could move around walking to different restaurants and small streets where you can enjoy a typical italian meal and night life.

The hotel is luxurious, fancy, beautiful and so comfortable! In the reception they have a bar where you can enjoy a nice drink while waiting to check-in or check-out, or simply to chat a bit. Also the common area is very comfortable and you can find the breakfast salon right there.

The room was amazing, I opened my window and I could see the sea in the distance (which for a girl from a country with beautiful coast it’s really important)!

In this one, everything was perfect, the pillows, the bed, the bathroom with the bathtub and they leave you a container of sea salts to take a good relaxing bath.

About the breakfast here, was the only thing that maybe wasn’t that perfect as the other two hotels had way more variety, but still was really good. Didn’t take any pictures I think because was too tired already hahah

As I told you before, we went walking around the hotel to have dinner and this was the view:
